Originally created for the sole use of the US Military, the Hummer H1 has already stepped out of its barracks to join the multitude of vehicles in the mass market. It is a rather colossal design for a four wheel utility vehicle. It is fondly called the Humvee which is short for the HMMWV or the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle which was first introduced in the first part of the 80s.
The word “massive” could best describe the Hummer H1 since its debut showed a 6.2-liter diesel engine. Talk about fuel efficiency, and while this vehicle is at the end of the line, celebrities and tycoons are placing high bets on the ownership of such a powerful machine. A 5.7L V8 was later on introduced to the market and it gained popularity since it was powered by gasoline instead of diesel which created a noisy hum at the mufflers.
